Rafael Advanced Defense System

During my last three semesters at the Technion, I had the privilege of being hired by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems as a Big Data Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence department. This opportunity proved to be highly educational due to the diverse and challenging projects I was entrusted with, as well as the high level of rigor expected in the workplace. I gained valuable experience working within a large organization, taking over ongoing projects, and starting new ones from scratch. I was responsible for presenting my work, structuring my code, and developing research processes within a professional setting. Throughout this period, I had the chance to work on a variety of projects across different fields, such as computer vision, data science, and natural language processing (NLP).

During my year and a half at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, four of which stand out. Due to confidentiality reasons, I am unable to discuss the specifics of these projects, as they fall under the company's defense-related security and non-disclosure agreements. As a result, these projects cannot be included in my portfolio or disclosed publicly. However, I was fortunate to refine my skills in several areas, including :

  •  Computer vision, where I developed a model capable of classifying highly specific and technical images.

  • In the field of natural language processing (NLP), I worked on Hebrew text and fine-tuned pre-existing models. Additionally.

  •  I was involved in data science and machine learning projects that required extensive data augmentation, data cleaning, and the development of common models for specific tasks such as classification and regression.
